Video mapping created during a Franco-Lithuanian creation residency, as part of the Video Mapping Festival and the Lithuanian Season in France 2024.

Video artists Vytautas Žarnauskas, Matas Nakrošis (Lithuania), along with Hamza Mrabet and composer Aleksi Aubry-Carlson (France) will present a joint project, entitled Dreams of Čiurlionis. Video mapping performance will be dedicated to M. K. Čiurlionis – Lithuanian composer and painter of international significance, in anticipation of the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth.

Inspired by M. K. Čiurlionis symbolist musical conceptualism and unique phenomenon of his art, joint artists team will revive the Maison du Sagittaire building in Amiens. Using animation and video mapping techniques they will bring to life M. K. Čiurlionis paintings and his music, thereby transporting the audience into a unique and magical world.Artists for this performance are working with digital copies of paintings that have been entrusted to them by the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art.
