Video mapping created during a Franco-Lithuanian creation residency, as part of the Video Mapping Festival and the Lithuanian Season in France 2024.

Video artists Vytautas Žarnauskas, Matas Nakrošis (Lithuania), along with Hamza Mrabet and composer Aleksi Aubry-Carlson (France), presented a joint project, entitled Dreams of Čiurlionis. Video mapping performance dedicated to M. K. Čiurlionis – Lithuanian composer and painter of international significance, in anticipation of the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth.

Inspired by M. K. Čiurlionis symbolist musical conceptualism and unique phenomenon of his art, joint artists team revived the Maison du Sagittaire building in Amiens. Using animation and video mapping techniques we brought to life M. K. Čiurlionis paintings and his music, thereby transporting the audience into a unique and magical world. For this performance we were working with digital copies of paintings that have been entrusted to us by the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art.

The project was featured in various online publications and printed in local news articles.
